Anna Wroblewski Joins Dealio’s Ambassador Team

Anna Wroblewski Joins Dealio's Ambassador Team

Anna Wroblewski

We’re thrilled to announce a new addition to the Dealio Webcam Poker Ambassador team: Anna Wroblewski. Anna has over $1 million in lifetime earnings in poker, and as Barry Greenstein says, “has played about every online poker platform there is.” If you’ve seen our gameplay videos, you’ve already seen Anna playing on Dealio’s platform, and she was quick to say, “Dealio puts the fun back into poker,” adding, “it combines the reality of live poker with the convenience of online poker.”

It’s always a pleasure to have Anna at the table, and if you want to learn more there’s actually a wonderful short film about Anna’s early life in Vietnam called Mother’s Milk (trailer). We’ll have an interview with her in an upcoming podcast episode and you can ask her questions live on our Tuesday night livestreams.

Nathan Gamble at Prime SocialLast week at Prime Social, ambassador Justin Hammer reports on Nathan Gamble’s showing, and a charity event. Be sure to catch Justin on the Twitch livestream here this week. Plus, here’s the Omaha 8 final table with Nathan.

Nathan Gamble won the 71-player field Omaha 8 or Better tournament on Monday, then came in second in the 48-player field TOE tournament on Tuesday. Combined scores were over $10k and Nathan promptly sent KL Cleeton 10% of his profits to help out with the fundraiser to get him a van to drive to Vegas.

A charity tournament for Josh Billingsley, who recently passed away unexpectedly, was able to raise over $10k for his family. Josh was a well respected member of the Houston poker community, and 43 players showed up to rebuy, add on, and donate to the cause. Josh was brought into the tournament by Tournament Director Justin Hammer, and was given add ons by many of the players in the field. He would go on to posthumously win the event after the second place finisher surrendered his stack in 2nd place.

The $1 million guaranteed main event will take place next week running Wed-Sun June 2-6 with 4 starting flights and an $1100 buy in at Prime Social in Houston TX. The tournament will once again be run by Tournament Director Justin Hammer, and is expected to have well over the 1,000 players needed to hit the guarantee.

Dealio Webcam Poker in the news

Dealio Webcam Poker In the News

Dealio Webcam Poker in the news after unveiling

Last week, Dealio Webcam Poker quietly came out of stealth mode with a sneak peek at some of our key features — live dealers and live webcams being two of the most important. After all, “webcam” is in our name. We believe the combination of dealers and players will provide a safe, fun experience for people from all walks of life to come to the table and play.

This week we were lucky enough to get some mentions in the press. Polish poker news site Railme.com added some information about Dealio ambassadors Barry Greenstein and Clonie Gowen, and dug up a tweet by Justin Hammer when he moved to Dallas to head up our operations side. Look for more information on our Dallas operations in the coming weeks. Of note: Italian site gioconewspoker.it had a write up of our plans.

Meanwhile, US-based CardsChat, one of the most respected card news sites in the world, had a great writeup by reporter Haley Hintze. She caught on to the fact that we believe enforcing always-on cameras is a great way to avoid solvers and bots. Plus, it adds to the feeling of a real card room experience — something that has been wildly popular in Texas, where Dealio is based and will offer a true poker experience later this year. Be sure to check out the writeup in TightPoker for even more details.

Hintze also notes that many webcam poker efforts have failed in the past, but the technology wasn’t as pervasive in 2006 or 2010, as previous efforts were launched. The pandemic accelerated many trends, one of which was “connectivity and convergence,” as reported in this Business Wire article. We believe that consumers are more willing and able to participate in a webcam gaming experience than ever before, and that emerging technologies that enhance bandwidth and video offerings will exponentially increase our options in short time.

We have many more announcements to come, as we’ve only begun to detail our features and plans for our platform, and the world of poker! We have much more of the platform to show off, including our digital collectibles, and a series of videos with our ambassadors that you won’t want to miss. A podcast, too? Absolutely, with none other than Nathan Gamble. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to get inside access, and be first in line to experience Dealio Webcam Poker for yourself.
